Who we are and who we're looking for

We're Playbag, a Czech fashion brand focused on backpacks, handbags, and wallets. We have a long-standing tradition, big plans, strong investors, and a new designer on our team. We're growing, and we're looking for a teammate for the role of Operations & Production Manager to help us build the Playbag brand and grow it abroad.

What you'll do

Customers / orders

handling complaints, repairs, and collected returns (inspecting incoming parcels).

Production

weekly planning and review of the production schedule,
production quality control,
once a week, transporting parcels to the warehouse (about 500 m from us),
purchasing materials and receiving them both physically and in the system (ideally in batches, about 4× a year),
maintaining the current bill of materials (material specifications),
stocktaking and ongoing monitoring of material inventory levels,
sourcing and purchasing alternative materials,
external production: orders, communication, quality control.

Administrative / "accounting" tasks

entering invoices into ABRA,
entering material receipts into ABRA,
entering payment orders from invoices in ABRA.

💡 Room (if you're interested) to grow into a COO role – responsibility for overseeing sales, the production plan, and purchasing, with the option to lead another team member as we grow.

What we're looking for

thoroughness, a systematic approach, independence, prioritization,
you like Google Sheets: you're used to working with spreadsheets daily and know how to find your way around them (you don't have to be a guru – ChatGPT can help too),
a drive to do things properly; an "extra mile" attitude; a team spirit,
you like to learn and come up with process improvements,
a plus: experience with e-commerce, production, or purchasing,
a plus: familiarity with ChatGPT; Shoptet/Shopify; ABRA; Asana,
a car available (at least once a week for a short trip to the warehouse – 500 m).

What can you mainly expect from working with us?

You'll work primarily in a small, close-knit team – you, Marťa, and Honza – in daily contact (phone, video calls, Slack, Asana). We'll meet in person in Zlín on a weekly basis. You'll be a full-fledged teammate, in daily contact with our seamstresses about purchasing and production. We have the ambition to build a strong European brand, and we're looking for someone who'll pull in the same direction with us.
